Artistic statement:

My work reflects my love of fabrics and patterns. Rarely is it pictorial or realistic. There are no political statement, no emotional self-examinations, no messages. I produce my work for other reason – the love of embroidery and fabric and thread.

I want to attract people because it is abstract. I want them to be absorbed by the rhythms of the repetitive motifs, the movements that patterns can create. Just as in the pleasure in the harmony found in a length of fabric. To be fascinated by the surface. I love it when people what to reach out and touch the embroidery. The same kinds of feelings and attractions do not occur we observe paintings or drawings. With embroidery and stitch – there is more.
